In addition to her mother, Karen was predeceased by her son James Pavlus on July 25, 1985 and a brother, James Knoeck.

There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3, 2008 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain with Fr. John Roos as celebrant. Interment will be in Fort Plain Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to join them immediately following mass for a luncheon in the parish hall.
